When we first created the
Guest Book, many of Dave's friends and family took the time to express
their condolences and share their memories. Unfortunately, over
time, the Guest Book form began to attract more spammers, and now, at
the start of 2007, we are receiving 50-75 junk mail messages per day,
all apparently created using an automated mechanism for filling out the
form.
Accordingly, we have removed the Guest Book
form, but we encourage you to send us
an e-mail message to share your memories or
express your condolences. As always, messages will be reviewed for
appropriateness and then posted in the Guest Book in the same format as
entries previously made using the form. A copy of your message will also be forwarded
to Dave's wife Frances via e-mail.
Please be sure to include your full name, along
with your city and state. If you have a favorite photo
that you would like to share, please send it as well. Your message should be addressed to

generally not as easily thwarted by spammers as the previous comments
form was.
